Artificer Subclass: Sandman

Hello! This subclass is/was my submission for D&DShorts' Artificer subclass contest which I finally got around to properly formatting. My goal was to create a subclass which (hopefully) steer away from the very mechanical, steampunk-esque aesthetic the artificer is known for and takes it more into a mystical direction. The reason I chose sand as a theme for this subclass is because there’s obviously the connection to the sandman–the mythological figure that induces sleep–but also the Arabic myths and legends about grand mirages which oftentimes take place in deserts. Sand can obviously also be used to build with–who hasn’t built a sand castle on the beach before? Unfortunately, the artificer spell list is pretty limited in the way of illusion and enchantment spells, so I had to do some mechanical gymnastics to make sure the subclass could still enjoy some of those spells. This might give the subclass a bit of horizontal power creep, but I think that that sort of thing is more fun than, say, slapping an extra damage die onto a spell. I hope you enjoy!
